Lightning Web Browser App Reviews

looks like someone learning how to use the webkit frameworks.

The browser looks like the developer was learning how to use the WebKit frameworks with xcode and posted this. • no bookmarks • no history control • no cookie controls really lame

Good but...

Browser fast, small, beutifull appearence but there is no bookmarks and other need functions(

Speed

This is FAST but theres not much to it. i like it

Just use Firefox.

Well, the browser is fast, but SERIOUSLY? If there was a browser for 5 year olds, this would be it. This isnt for minimalists, its for negativeists. I mean, does this thing even have flash support?

Stolen Artwork

Author of application has stolen the icon from the open source Tornado web server project: http://tornadoweb.org.

Almost what I need

There really only a few problems with this web browser: 1. no tabs, no way to go straight to a website, and a few other features 2. facebook chat doesnt work, google search wont tell you what pages youve already been on 3. you need to resize it everytime you open it I currently used safari for my main browsing and chrome for my fast browsing but after download immediately deleted chrome. THIS IS FAST SOOO FAST. I will probably add a keyboard shortcut to this web browser for when i need to research things Update: facebook chat is working great now THANKS

Great

Its really fast, but I think ther should be bookmarks and other stuff, same as the other web browsers.

Fantastic Web Browser

They listened to the complaints about the earlier version. All of the complaints that I read are fixed. I was sceptical that it it would be faster than chrome, but it is much faster. It is insanely fast. There is one problem that is very minor; when a page is loading, the spinning thingy is partially covered by a magnifying glass. Hope that helps. Added thing- DO NOT CHANGE PAGES AND MINUTES RETAINED TO ZERO.

OK, so far, but

Love the speed and the assorted improvements to my normal, sluggish, Safari, which always amazes me with its ability to get worse with every version: Read: slower and more sluggish and congested. In comparison, TurboWeb is fantastically fast, but has the unfortunate feature of not recognizing hyperlinks. They are still blue, that is, but cant be clicked on as links. Must go through the dreary, slow, copy-paste. How this happens: as soon as I change the screen font size with command-+, the links cease to function. I have emailed the developer. Looking to see functionality restored.

FAST!

Nothing to say but FAST! haha I have Chrome, Friefox, Safari, Opera, and Turbo web. Turbo web is the fastest!! lacking in features but something had to give.

Fast as lightning!

Holy crap this thing is BEAST! only rec is that when clicking on a bookmark for it not to open a new tab and stay on one tab! The desighn and layout of the app could be better.... other than that the app is amazing!

Turbo Web Browser

Very fast but only good for 1 tab at a time... Lots of rough edges and does not handle multiple tabs well at all... Nice to open an alternate Webmail page for an extra g-mail account so you dont get cookie conflicts, but its no good for serious use.. I typically keep 30-50 tabs open at once and this app is nowhere near ready for over 2 concurrent tabs... However, its perfect to quickly check a news page or send an email!!!!

Not As Fast As I Had Expected…

TurboWeb did not seem to be much faster than Chrome 11 or Safari 5.1 on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, and still lacks many features and a good UI. For how much was sacrificed for speed, I would have expected it to be far faster than it is.

Like Camino

But Camino seems faster. This is just another web browser. Does not seem any faster. Ita also a cpu hog. cpu at 79 to 90% is tooo much.

Amazing! Better than Chrome!

I cant believe how fast it is! at first i was a bit nervous but it really works! faster than Chrome and firefox!

Fast and smooth

I love it. No lag/ No drag- I open a page (or three or four) and its ready to go! Every morning I load 4 pages ripe full of flash and other bells n whistles; with chrome, safari, or firefox it normally takes about 3-4 minutes to get logged in with everything up and running..... but TurboWeb is instant on and go!! nice app!

Great APP!

This app works with the Screenreader Voiceover. It is very fast and I use it more now than Safari. Thank you for this great app. Keith Reedy

Please overhaul the UI, following the Apple HIG.

Very fast and minimal. Feels like an iPad browser, on a Mac. Use standard Mac OS customizable toolbars (e.g. option-command drag support, small/big size, right click to customize etc.). Get rid of the raised buttons and use standard safari/finder style buttons. Same goes for the tabs. They should match Safari. See the Terra browser on the iPad for an example of a great non-apple browser UI. The buttons are not evenly spaced. Please fix this. Dont mix Helvetica and Lucida Grande in the interface. You should probably stick with using Apples system font, Lucida Grande. If you decide to use Helvetica, use it consistently, everywhere, and make the whole app feel like an iPad app. Reeder is an excellent example of this. It could use a new icon. Overall a great app under the hood, but the UI needs a lot of work. Looks promising.

Needs update

Recently websites have been redirecting me to the mobile version of their websites when visiting them in TurboWeb. I realize this is not the fault of TurboWeb, but its not the only problem. The tabbed browsing experience needs to be revamped considerably, as well as a lot of interface changes that will make the browsing experience a whole lot better. Also, to the developer: We need a better way to contact you. Provide an email address so that we can find feedback to you directly instead of using the App Store review section.

Maybe fast on some sties

I cant get on a single site that is important to me at all. Financial instititions my OWN website i run I cant even get on there
